This post provides information about our whole school and care home support and solutions for high ace challenges.

Support and solutions for high ace challenged students:

Support and solutions for high ace challenged students based in schools or care homes is a specialist provision:

It may be considered in relation to Therapeutic & Educational Support for Schools and Residential Childcare Homes:

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’S):

Support and solutions for high ace challenged students

ACE’S and Attachments are predominantly caused by:

  • Physical abuse
  • Sexual Abuse
  • Emotional Abuse
  • Living with someone who abused drugs
  • Living with someone who abused alcohol
  • Exposure to domestic violence
  • Living with someone who has gone to prison
  • Living with someone with serious mental illness
  • Losing a parent through divorce, death or abandonment

Approximately 10% of the UK population have suffered from at least 4 or more of the above – and this leads to significant problems as you get older, more specifically:

  • An increase in the risk of certain health problems in adulthood, such as cancer and heart disease, as well as increasing the risk of mental health difficulties, violence and becoming a victim of violence.
  • An increase in the risk of mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. 1 in 3 diagnosed mental health conditions in adulthood directly relate to ACEs.
  • The longer an individual experiences an ACE and the more ACEs someone experiences, the bigger the impact it will have on their development and their health.

Some of the other things exposure to ACEs can impact, are:

  • The ability to recognise and manage different emotions.
  • The capacity to make and keep healthy friendships and other relationships.
  • The ability to manage behaviour in school settings.

All of the above have one thing in common – STRESS!

According to Dr. Marley Robbins, who has studied stress and its cause of physical, mental, and emotional disruption to humans – he says:

“There is no such thing as medical dis-ease, only stress induced mineral dysregulation that causes metabolic dysfunction”.

Think about this for a moment. He implies, and no doctor has refuted it, that all non-structural medically referred dis-ease is caused by STRESS INDUCED MINERAL DYSREGULATION.

This means that once someone has encountered major stress, such as trauma, or ongoing stress (known as chronic stress), that any resulting dis-ease is not a result of the trauma or chronic stress, but as a result of the mineral dysregulation. This mineral dysregulation then causes metabolic dysfunction. Such dysfunction may manifest as a mental, physical or emotional symptom leading to dis-ease.

Now imagine a therapeutic approach that:

  1. Dealt with the mineral dysfunction – thus creating a new foundation from which the problem could be overcome.
  2. Dealt with the original trauma and or ongoing and current chronic stress  – so that future mineral dysregulation was minimised.

How good and original would that be?

Such an approach exists, and it has been developed by Marcus Pearson, a co-founder of Be Super Ltd based in Rochdale, England.

This solution is included within more practical and focused solutions that address the challenges of trying to educate high ACE children.
